like some of the others, I think I was also at around 800 kcal at six months out. I think I was about a year out before I consistently got over 1000 (I remember being in the 1000-1200 range for a few months before I hit maintenance). I've been in maintenance for about 18 months and now average about 1500 kcal/day - which is higher than a lot of women on here can eat. So yea - 1400 is a lot for where you are now.

Also like some of the others, I can't do intuitive eating. Intuitive eating is what got me to 373 lbs. I still weigh, measure, and track my food - and I weigh myself every day. I know I will have to do this for the rest of my life to stay where I'm at.

calorie counting became critical for me once I got over six or so months post-op. I also make sure I get over 100 grams of protein/day (because we discovered early on that I malabsorb it). I do try to eat healthy fat at least a couple of times a day because it keeps me satisfied for a long time, but it still has to work into my calorie budget. By healthy fat, of course, I mean - avocado, nut butters, tahini, nuts...

I think Keto is probably an OK program to follow, you just have to lower your calories.
