My husband wants to join with me so that is a plus. We found one that has childcare too, and very reasonably priced. This is definitely motivating for me. I've been on the fence with this gym membership thing for weeks now. I told myself I will join when I'm 299lbs!

Errybody at the gym is so wrapped up in their own business that they don't even notice anyone else. I can't even tell you what the ladies on the ellipticals on either side of me were wearing today. Were they both ladies? Was one a guy? I don't even know.

Go now. You're done waiting for your life to begin.

Way to go!! I only JUST started this whole journey, as in, I only changed the way I eat starting two weeks ago. WLS is in the future, but probably about at least a year off (I'm Canadian, lol), so I started a 1200 calorie diet to kick things off. I've only lost 10lbs so far but even that makes a difference! I find I have more energy, my knees and back hurt less, etc. Amazing. I think I honestly thought that weight loss was kind of a myth, that it just wouldn't ever work for me. What an idiot I was. I'm newly 38 and now regretting that I didn't start this when I was your age, too. Keep up the good work!

Awesome! Sounds like you're doing good. Don't buy too many size 15 jeans. You'll go down even lower!!
