Good morning all! Well, my trusted friend the scale has decided it's too tired to keep up with my weight gain and loss shenanigans anymore. I got 12 different weights this morning despite new batteries a few weeks ago. Just this morning I gained 2 pounds, met my goal and 10 other points in-between! We've been together for well over 5 years, but it's time to let go and make a new scale friend. I've ordered a new one (same brand, EatSmart, they are awesome and normally very accurate) and it will be here Saturday.

QOTD: I am thankful for every day I have my dad as he battles cancer. He's awesome and I love him.

B - coffee and yogurt

L - Panera chicken cobb salad

D - not sure. Half a turkey sandwich (mostly the guts) if I go out with my friend or chicken and superfood salad if I stay home

S - protein pudding

Hahahaha. Wow at your scale!! 12 different weights is impressive.

And much love to you for your QOTD :)

(Which reminds me, I forgot to do the QOTD.. time to edit.)

Haha. Silly coffee drinkers :D

I've had quite the day so far. Lance got up at 3am so he could make it to the airport for his 6am flight. Then Art woke me up at 5:45 so we could move his old mattress into Lance's room for "storage." Then I sort of dozed until 9am. (I'm feeling infinitely better than yesterday, thank you antibiotics!!) When I got out of bed for real, I applied myself to the task of setting up Art's NEW mattress (GhostBed!!) and getting his bed all sorted out. Can't wait to sleep on it tonight!!

My to do list is a mile long today and I'm glad I have no out of the house errands/dates planned. In the homestretch of classes and surgery prep. I did manage to finish my very last big assignment yesterday, so now all that's left is some reading and forum replies. It's a good place to be with four entire days left :)

QOTD: Oh, my family. I love them so. Even when they're scared and worried for me, they're unfailingly supportive of my choices. (Okay, aside from that time when I dropped out of college, married a guy I met online, and moved to England to live on a military base - but we worked through that.) I know that my current surgeries are very challenging for my family but they've been really great at keeping their fears controlled around me and showing me nothing by support. I'm grateful to know that my pain will be managed by the clock and that I won't have to deal with remembering to take my meds. I'm grateful that Lance will deal with emptying my drains and stabbing me with Lovenox. I'm grateful that Art will help me walk down the hall to go to the bathroom. I'm grateful that my mom won't let me know how panicked she is. And you know what I'm really grateful for? I'm grateful that I consider my mom to be one of my best friends. Art just got home from a week with his parents and said, "I love my parents, but I don't particularly like them very much. Your parents, on the other hand, I both love and like." My heart grew about 10 sizes because I feel the same way.

1: protein shake
2: protein shake (boosting protein for surgery and don't feel like eating)
3: it's leftover night so it'll depend on what I find in the fridge, hopefully there's a me-size portion of turkey/zucchini meatballs left!

liquid and vites: on track
exercise: nope, but moving mattresses around is exhausting!
