I hate myself in photos

True story: I have a good friend who had a VSG about a year ago and has lost a lot of weight. Just the other day she was telling me that she hates to see herself in pictures of her daughter's commencement ceremony. To me, that was heartbreaking. Think about it...one of the proudest moments of a mom's life and she can't celebrate the memory simply because of how she looked at the time. I think many of us are too hard on ourselves and miss out on the joy in life because of it. If your husband thinks you're beautiful, revel in it! What a wonderful thing that your husband sees your beauty even when you do not. Please try to be kinder to yourself. It will open up a whole new world of happiness to you and will have a positive affect on those around you.
