Morning, VSGers! Back to reality today. I feel like it's going to be hard to wrap my brain around everything I have to do. That includes reading for class and also meeting with my boss to plan next week's trip and debrief him on last week's. It's so hard to get back into the groove after being detached for a week.

QOTD: Do you own a smar****ch? If so, do you use it mostly for fitness or something else? I have an Apple Watch and I love it. But, I originally bought it to use with my Continuous Glucose Monitor and now I don't need to use that anymore. I use it for activity tracking and also the #1 use is as a timer for when I can drink again!

Good morning. We're all still under the weather around here. We spent yesterday on the couch, sipping tea and soup. It was a bit odd being sick and not having carbs - usually there's mountains of toast, noodles in the soup, and lots of honey in the tea. It wasn't bad not having those things, just different. I did manage to finish knitting two small sweaters that have been hanging around for a while. One is for Teddy's Halloween costume, and the other is for my pregnant cousin. Her baby shower is in a month.

QOTD - I got a fitbit a little over a year ago. I've been using it regularly since surgery, mostly for steps, but it's also nice to track sleep. Suddenly it's not charging. I'm not sure if it's the device or the cord. I'm seeing a friend on Wednesday who also has a Fitbit - I'm going to ask her to bring her cord and see if it works.

B - latte, cottage cheese

L - coconut chicken soup

S - protein shake

D - possibly steak, possibly more soup

E - probably still resting, but maybe a yoga tape if I feel up to it

water and vitamins on track

Good morning! Back to work again (but not many days left for me). I had been thinking of offering to do some contract work a few hours a week, but I'm not sure I want to make that commitment right now.

QOTD: I have a Fitbit (uncharged in bureau). No smar****ch. I have always been on a computer all day for work, have an iPhone, iPad and MacBook. I feel that is enough connectivity for me.

1.5 years post-op (maintenance). 13 work days to retirement (11/13).

B: eggbeaters, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon

L: vegetarian chili

D: roast chicken and cabbage

S: yogurt

Today is a school day for me. This is week 7 of 8, so I've got final projects and papers due on Sunday. Art is with his parents for the week, so I won't have him to distract me at home! Woo! Started watching Mindhunter last night with Lance and almost convinced him to call in sick so we could binge the whole thing ;)

My body is feeling a bit better from yesterday, slow improvements every day :/ I'm thankful for drugs and sleep.

QOTD: I have a Garmin Vivoactive. (I'm planning on upgrading to a Vivoactive 3, I just need to see one in person first.) I use it primarily for GPS tracking for running and as a time piece.

1: protein shake
2: chili or lentil soup - I think both are in the fridge (Oh! I forgot I have leftover Chipotle!)
3: pork stir fry

liquid and vites: on track
exercise: a mile walk around noon

Hi!!

Just curious - today I actually tracked what I ate because I am thinking my weight loss is slow...or slower than most? Or I might just be IMPATIENT!!! I have 70 grams of protein which i am happy about - but about 600 calories?? Does that sound right for calories?
