ok thank you, see how confusing it is, the professionals say eat a high fiber high protein diet and then you folks say don't. But certainly will take into consideration. thank you for your comments

NOBODY on OH says "don't eat a high fiber high protein diet." Where on earth have you seen that?

"High fiber" is different from "high carb."

I think that it comes from the common practice here on OH that if someone posts eating something that is high in fiber (or recommended that they do) there are inevitably some posts about how that is "too many carbs" and they should ignore that advice.

I have bipolar. I've been on psych meds for over 15 years, and gained weight on many of them.

That weight gain was because I ate like crap, potentially from the meds messing with my hunger.

It is physically impossible for a medication to make you gain weight if you don't take in extra calories.

In your early posts here you would often state that you were working out all the time, eating Luna bars to compensate, and not losing weight. Weight is a function of diet, not exercise. You must measure and track what you eat and then eat a correct bariatric diet if you want to have lifelong success and to reach your goal. Exercise is awesome, but it won't get you to your weight goals. (And I know that many of us have told you this before, so I don't think you'll listen this time either, but I sincerely hope that you do.)
