Air Fryer?

Here is the thing: fat is not unhealthy. Fried foods are not unhealthy. Carbs are unhealthy. So, as long as it's not breaded and you count the calories, go ahead and fry your protein and veg in fat. The air fryer will probably reduce the calorie load of your fried foods though, which is certainly a good thing for weight loss.
I scrub and peel the sweet potato and then cut into slices about 1/2 inch thick. I spray with PAM and put on a dish and microwave about 10 minutes until they are soft.
Then I spread them on a cookie sheet and bake at 400 for 10 minutes, then turn them over and bake another five minutes. They are very crisp on the outside and have no added fat.

I love, love, love my airfryer! I absolutely hate greasy food and this eliminates that issue for me.
I get crispy, browned food with no hot kitchen, very easy clean up and I don't have to stand over it while cooking.
The good ones are not cheap, but I'm so happy I got mine. I waited for Amazon prime day and got one for more than half off. So worth it!

I have a Phillips. After losing my gallbladder I don't tolerate fat at all, so picked this up primarily to make fried chicken. First thing I tried was french fries- I was not a big fry fan before at restaurants, but love them out of the air fryer. You don't have the fat but all the crispy goodness- a total win! Fried chicken- You do get that same crunchy kind of goodness, but pan fried still wins. Despite that, it is still very good and totally scratches that fried chicken itch I get every so often. Where it seems to excel is on all of those frozen convenient food type things- egg rolls, pizza rolls, that kind of thing. I don't eat that stuff anymore though. It can totally cook protein from frozen- I have tossed in a frozen chicken breast with some Penzey's spice blend on it and it turns out quite nice. Frozen burgers too. Grilled cheese is extra nice. Roasting veggies is great too. Very convenient. Forget about baking cookies in it- terrible for that.
