Good Morning, VSGers! We ended up making a day trip to do some shopping since the weather turned out to be so crappy. I got to hit up the salvation army, which means I got some new clothes without dinging my wallet too hard. Plus, we got to have Five Guys (burger, no bun for me) and Sonic for some Diet Cherry Limeaid. My calories and carbs were on point yesterday, but I'm still up a little this morning. Go figure.

Edited to add: I'm thinking of anyone who is in Irma's path today. Stay safe! I have an aunt and cousins in Fort Myers that are all at one cousin's house because most of them were in the evacuation zone.

QOTD: Do you plan on having plastic surgery/have you had plastic surgery? I'm planning on an LBL and mastopexy without augmentation. As a side note, I'm having trouble remembering what questions I've asked and what I haven't so I might need to start tracking! Forgive me if I end up repeating something!

7 months post op/Maintenance/139.7lbs (I want my top end of my range to be 140lbs, so this is making me nervous!)

M1: Premier Protein w/ Coffee, Miralax, and HC

M2: Fage Total w/ 1/4 cup Blueberries, 15g of Almonds and 7g of SF Pudding Mix

M3: Emiepie's Egg Salad w/ Pork Rinds

M4: Turkey Sausage Link and Broccoli

E: Maybe today I'll get out for that hike I've been craving!

Good Morning! Had another rough night and early wake up, but so far I'm not feeling the need to exhaustion eat. I decided yesterday to invite artificial sweeteners and dairy back into my diet after 10 days without them - I lost 5bs in those 10 days so the change really worked for me and now I'm going to see if I can have those things in my diet in moderation and still lose. I'm also inviting coffee back in after 3 days because I miss it so!

B: Coffee and PP

L: Brunch potluck, will probably bring and eat pesto chicken salad and try not to take too many bites of other dishes

D: Chicken sausage or quest bar

S: Seaweed, Evening decaf Chai or Earl Grey with PP

QOTD: Maybe in a few years after I am done having children, I will consider going back to Mexico for a LBL or abdominoplasty and mastoplexy without augmentation. I never thought I would consider it and it would be 100% for my self image, not for health. My breasts especially really bother me, but we will see how I feel in a few years. I had a surreal experience the other day during sex where I couldn't stop feeling and watching all of my loose skin and saggy breasts flapping and I didn't enjoy having sex because of that.

I think my plastic surgery aspirations (haha) are backwards from most people's. I always assumed I'd need PS to improve my self-image. I literally budgeted for PS at the same time I started the process for VSG (although the idea was always if I didn't get insurance approval for my VSG I'd pay out of pocket and PS would go out the window).

But, as I've lost I've realized that I love my body now, even if the front of my body looks like a melted candle. I was in the dressing room trying on clothes yesterday and realized I don't mind looking at myself anymore. I want PS now for the functional reasons. I don't like how the skin feels in clothing, or how it makes my clothes fit differently than it should. I don't like how it slaps around during exercise/sex (So much yes to what you said there).

I'm in the same boat as Erin - I love my body, no issues with self image, but the excess skin has a huge impact on my body's functionality.

Good morning! Hope all of you have a wonderful Sunday.

QOTD: I definitely plan on plastics. Last time I lost 4 years ago, I even had a consult with a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon who does a lot of post WLS patients. I am planning on a lower body lift, thigh lift, brachioplasty, and breast lift with implants (though not because I'm interested in large boobs, but just because there is nothing there to work with!). Eventually I think I'll also have my eyelids done as that is a weird part that became saggy as I lost. Of all of it, I'm most in need of the stomach and arms being repaired.

B - coffee, bacon, eggs

L - protein shake SF butterscotch pudding

D - salmon and green beans

I'm cold. I'm going to see It today - super excited about that. Don't really know what's happening food-wise today because I don't know when Art is getting home from his weekend out of town or what. I kind of just want to go back to sleep right now.

QOTD: Reconstructive surgery hadn't even crossed my mind when I first started this process. But then I realized that my excess skin was preventing me from doing the things I wanted to do, so I scheduled a consult. I've had my first two surgeries already and the third (and last) is coming up in November. I can't wait to be finished with this process and finished with recovering.

1: protein shake
2: leftover chipotle
3: I don't know.

liquid and vites: on track
exercise: nope

QOTD: I've never included PS in my plan, but as I lose weight I've given it a thought.

In the beginning, I had a lot of excess skin in my thighs, which I was not prepared for, and which disturbed me greatly for whatever reason. Now there's no excess skin there due to all the new muscle.

At this time, I don't have a lot of excess skin except for my stomach/chest, and I think it's more funny than annoying. But if I decide to have PS, I'd have the extra belly skin removed, probably some pubic fat lipoed, and get rid of the remnant moobs.

B: protein shake

L: ???

S: protein shake

D: ???

E: rest day after climbing a freakin' mountain yesterday.

Good Morning - start of another week. Busy weekend but got lots achieved and a lot of exercise between collecting wood, stacking and yard work.

Thinking of everyone in the path of Irma - take care

QOTD: I had a tummy tuck after having my sons and never really considered more Plastic Surgery but as I continue to loose weight, the extra skin isnt lovely to look at. Im taking the stance that I will see how I feel when I reach goal and then make a decision based on my wellbeing and what we can afford etc (as Plastics are rarely covered by private health insurance over here so you are out of pocket a lot)

B: Emiepies Egg Salad with Bacon

S: Yo Pro Yoghurt with Strawberries

L: Leftover Scotch Fillet Pork

D: Something out of the freezer ! (Still working to clear it down - I took 5 meals to my mum yesterday so shes set for the week)

Have a great day/night

Hi everyone,

QOTD: I did have plastics about a year after I finished my weight loss (about 3.5 years ago). I had a fleur-de-lise tummy tuck, and I was thrilled with the results (before and after pictures on my profile) I still have loose skin on my upper arms and thighs, and at times, I think about more surgery, but it hasn't been worth the effort. But I'll tell you, it is excellent to have a flat belly again after being obese for so long. I highly recommend plastic surgery if you have a lot of loose skin (I lost 225 pounds and I had a huge amount of excess skin on my belly.

Breakfast - salmon

Lunch - pizza casserole

Dinner - cheeseburger quiche

Snack - pudding or atkins snack bar + a small glass of wine

Wow, your TT results are pretty incredible. You have some of the best scars I've seen on a fleur-de-lise!
