Whatcha Eating Today VSGers? Thursday 8/31/17
So far? Lemon It's amazing with a small handful of blueberries in it! I'm totally going to mix it up as a dip for my next book club and serve it with fruit.

I refuse to believe that tomorrow is September. This is a weird time of year for me because Art and I got married on August 26th and I moved to England to join him two weeks later, and in those two weeks Princess Diana died. So all the remembrances in the news are weird because I associate Princess Di's death with getting married and starting my married life.
Today will be a slightly busy/complicated day for me because Art and I are sharing a car at the moment and I've got to stop by college to pick up my BFF's epic hat that I'm borrowing for the Ren Faire, have lunch with my bereavement group, and get home in time for Art to be able to go do his afternoon/evening things. So many alarms set to make sure I leave at the right times, etc.
QOTD: I don't know that I have a favorite time of day - I guess it all depends on the day and what I'm doing! I do have a favorite state of being. I really like the times that I'm in my home alone. They're very rare, but I cherish them.
1: protein shake
2: lunch with bereavement group = Bob Evans. "Yay." This means I'll be having an omelet with bacon, mushrooms, and cheese because it's pretty much the only thing they have that works for me.
3: summer frikadeller and classic potato salad for the guys - I started my year with a goal of using a different cookbook each week for meal planning. My meal planning has been all screwed up since midway through the Spring term, so I haven't used a cookbook in quite some time. This week I changed that and grabbed Scandinavian Comfort Food by Trine Hahnemann. These recipes are from that book. The frikadeller are meatballs using a combination of pig and cow.
liquid and vites: on track

So. Bob Evans had a new item that was fish and chips, and I got that. It was cod. I love fish. HUGE piece of fish. I ate half and skipped the fries, slaw, and bread. Sheesh. So much freaking food.
My day ended up being even crazier than planned because I met up with another friend, after getting the hat from my first friend, to give her some shoes and a petticoat to wear with a dress for a wedding she's going to this weekend. I feel like a drug dealer today. But for weird clothing.

Happy Thursday, gang! Picture taking went swimmingly well last night. Hope Lisa can get them to me soon, so I can figure out how to upload and share with you all. They are so darned cute! It's going to be hard to give them up to adoptive homes, but so worth it!
B: Chocolate premier in coffee, about 10 bing cherries
S: reduced Colby-jack cheese stick
L: 1/2 c 1% cottage cheese, 3 slices thin deli ham
S: 4 strawberries and 1/3 cup blueberries
D: taco salad with all the fixings, but no shell or chips
Water, supps/vites/walking on tap
Tomorrow is September?! Good! Getting closer to cooler weather here. October gets crispy cool in the mornings, and the back porch gets more enjoyable.
QOTD: EARLY mornings. As I've gotten older, I have become one up with the sun. As fall hits the desert, crisp mornings on the porch looking at beautiful mountains with HOT coffee is the best. And sunsets and sunrises here are GORGEOUS.
AM: Espresso with Fairlife
S: red grapefruit
L: chicken thigh, cottage cheese, hummus
D: out with co-workers (likely salad with chicken, bacon, avacado, etc.)
Water & vites
Snacked last night on PB as well. A little fatty, but I'm not feeling bad about it because it's protein and I didn't have it on bread - no carbs.
Also discovered that I can drink the water that my red grapefruit is packed in. Don't consider any calories, but it helped me get through the evening before bedtime.
Good morning. Feeling a little tired today. I've been staying up too late recently. Also, it's the weirdest thing. I've been under quite a bit of stress and I've noticed I have no appetite. I am having to force myself to eat my meals -- at least my protein. I have ALWAYS been a stress eater. Not that I'm complaining. Just odd.
QOTD: I love the early morning coffee time too. It's especially nice spent on the patio if the weather is good. Mostly I just park myself in front of the tv and slowly wake up.
B: yogurt and coffee
L: chicken and salad
D: turkey tacos
S: turkey jerky
