I couldn't agree more. Information is key to a good mental state during this process and i think the more I read, learnt and understood this process the more reassured I became. I knew what could go wrong, I knew what increased and decreased those risks and I knew what was out of my control. I made peace with the stuff that was out of my control and worked my ass off over what I could.

I've a fair way to go yet, but my bariatric team are thoroughly pleased with my progress and level of commitment to follow the program. I put a lot of that down to the various journeys I've read about here and the advise given, this place really is an invaluable tool.

At my psych evaluation, they told me that during the first month, it was not uncommon to have "buyers remorse" but to know that it will pass.
