Whatcha Eating Today VSGers? Sunday 7/9/17
Good morning, VSGers! We went to the drive-in last night and saw Despicable Me 3. It was cute! I had hoped to see my father yesterday, but he was busy so we're going to try again today. I also need to grocery shop at some point.
Today I officially weigh less than my husband. I always said that was my ultimate goal, but now I know those statements are mostly lies!

Good morning all! I thought after bacon, pancakes, corn on the cob, steak and 2 marshmallows on the campfire yesterday I would have ballooned, but I was down another 0.8 today. Whew! One houseguest left today and two more come in this afternoon. We're going out to dinner and I've perused the menu and am planning on mussels again from the appetizer list.
B - coffee and yogurt

D - mussels in wine broth
S - string cheese or an egg
Having company is always so challenging for my eating! I remember my first Christmas post-op I got SUPER constipated because I figured I'd skip my morning shakes and eat breakfast with everyone else. What a mistake :P One or two days wouldn't have been an issue, but this was like 5 days in a row. Now I just stick to eating the "important" breakfasts over holidays and have shakes the rest of the time. Thankfully my family doesn't think I'm too strange... (I am still waiting for my nephew to ask about my shakes so I can tell him it's a nutrient rich blend that I need to keep my nanotechnology functioning correctly. He has never asked. Sigh.)
I feel you on the weight change, though. Sometimes I have days where I eat off plan and figure the scale will reward me with a 5-pound gain and it shows me a loss instead. Other days I eat totally on plan and the scale rewards me with an actual 2-pound gain. Yay for daily fluctuations. :D

Heya! I hope you're able to see your dad today. I get to Skype with my mom this evening! (Sunday is Skype day.)
Yesterday was weird. My period started and I was craving carbs which is unusual these days. I ended up getting popcorn at the movie - something I had planned but forgotten about when I posted my meals yesterday. I shared it with Lance, so ate about 2 cups total. But then after dinner I was craving something sweet so I had random.Quest bar and then I ended up eating a tortilla with some butter. o_O Like.. what the heck? I blame myself and my period. 90% myself. Maybe 85% myself. Of course my weight was up today due to the salt and I think it's always up a little with my period as well. So yay :P Today I will be more vigilant.
Anyway.. today. I had a normal shower for the first time since surgery. This means that I stood the entire time and didn't use the shower wand and washed my hair/body in the order that I always washed prior to surgery. That was a great way to start the day! Then I wrestled with some compression garments and decided that I need to find a different transitional garment option than what I tried today. Things that are large enough to pull up my thighs are too large to give compression in my abdomen. That's a first.

I had popcorn last night too. I ate half of a junior size, so I'd say 2 cups as well. I plan on eating the other half that I saved today and that will be it for awhile! My carbs are so low otherwise, I still stay under 30-35g when I add something like that, luckily.

I had a really good food day yesterday. Didn't end up going to the gym. Stayed on the couch and watched most of the Avengers series.
This morning I woke up with something in my left eye. I tried flushing, but no luck. I fell asleep with my contacts on Friday night and left them in all day Saturday, so it may be related to that. I may just have a scratched eyeball. Anywhoo, no contacts today.
