New here and surgery is in 3 weeks.
WLS surgery has saved my life. It's the best thing I ever did. I was nervous as hell. I have heart condition, on blood thinners and other heart meds, had high blood pressure, I was diabetic on 5 shots of insulin a day and had sleep apnea as well barely able to walk because I have a fracture in one knee and severe atrhritis in the other knee. I was dying slowly and painfully.
Since surgery, I am no longer a diabetic, many of my heart meds have been reduced, my sleep apnea is much better and blood pressure is great! I am able to walk better now and when I lose a bit more weight the doctors will operate on my knees.
It is sooo worth it! Good luck with you journey. Coming here is so helpful and you will learns tons,

It's natural to be nervous, but honestly, this surgery has been so liberating and I'm only two months out. I think it's fantastic that you are already doing under 800 calories. Just breathe, you're going to do great.
