Fever after surgery

Hello everyone. I am new to this site. My surgery was June 27, 2017. I have been running a low grade fever since day three. Last night it reached 99.6. I was still discharged today and about an hour ago noticed I started running a fever. It reached 100.0 so I did not contact dr since I was told to wait until it reached 100.5. Are fevers normal after surgery? I am scared of staple line leaks.

yes low grade fevers can be normal. If you had a leak, you would be feeling like you were near death. You wouldn't be able to miss it.

My surgery was June 19th. I keep getting low grade fevers, as well. I'm still in pain too. I've been extremely paranoid about a leak, but I keep getting told that my fever would be high and I'd likely be vomiting/feeling nausea.
