stomach stretch/pouch
so, i'm hungry all the time but when i eat i throw most foods up, got a scope done and i have a portion of my stomach that "pouched" or "stretched out" so food can get stuck in it and all the food i eat after i will throw up. my doc says he can fix it by cutting it off but im not sure i want to. im thinking that it will just happen again. im 5 years out and 160 pounds down i dont really care if i loose more weight or not even though im still overweight im comfortable. has anyone had this experience? i have never heard of it before myself. i just can't face the thought of surgery again and all that it entails. any thoughts, ideas?? thanks everyone
I recommend a) asking your surgeon how likely it is that this will happen again if fixed and then b) getting a second opinion.
I would get it fixed because "hungry all the time but when i eat i throw most foods up" is not how I want to go through life.

I am having the same problem but the surgeon found nothing. Where are you located? I am trying to find a surgeon that will do a revision because I regained and I hardly eat anything but the weight keeps coming on.
I know there is something wrong and I cannot go on like this. If you are comfortable the way you are then there is no need for surgery but I am miserable the way I am. good luck to you and congrats on the weight loss.
Get a second opinion, especially if this is the same doc that did your original surgery. My doc thought at first my sleeve was stretched- I started somewhere in the 40's for bougie size. I had to go back in for surgery due to a very large hiatel hernia, and he anticipated doing a resleeve due to stretching. (CT scan showed it was very mishapen.) Once he put the stomach back where it belonged though, the sleeve resumed a normal shape. So even with my large sleeve and really large hiatel hernia, it still did not stretch. Something doesn't sound right in other words... I wonder if it was improperly made initiatally and that is why the revision is needed.
Get a second opinion. Find a surgeon who has experience with resleeves- it is a higher risk procedure.
