5 Month Post Surgery Update
Today I am 5 months post surgery. High weight of 283, surgery weight of 230 and today's weight of 157.6. I have about 12lbs to my goal. A total loss of just over 125lbs and a loss since surgery of 72lbs.
It's hard to even put into words how much my life has changed in the last 5 months. I went from a size 16 jeans to a size 6/8. From a 2XL top to a Medium. I can lift heavy things. I can walk up stairs without being winded. I can run. My kids can fit their arms around me. I weigh less than I did in high school. In fact, I can't even say when I was last this weight, probably in middle school/junior high?
But best of all, I don't feel like food owns me anymore. Giving up the food is hard and it's something I think about every single day. But it's so freeing! I can go out to dinner and not feel guilty after. When food isn't an option for fun, you find new hobbies and it's amazing.

Your changes really are dramatic. Your facial features are really nice, you couldn't see that before. Congratulations on your weight loss!
I actually agonized over how to say that without coming off as a total jerk. You really do look nice though!
You couldn't see the dimple in your chin or the definition in your cheeks be in the before picture. Those features are clearly visible now and they look really nice on you.
Fantastic job! You look wonderful!
