Hi! Has anyone had any luck finding someone in Louisiana that is willing to take new patients? Everyone I calles no longer accepts medicaid. I did call doctor Butler who does accept it but you have to live within a certain mile range.

Yes. I just saw on the news this morning about this new program. It is servicing all of Louisiana Medicaid Holders. They are hosting seminars as of now til the end of the year. Click the link for more info.

I saw on the news today that

July 1, University Medical Center will open the only clinic in the state for weight loss surgery for Medicaid patients. The are having classes and the dates are filling up fast. Dr. Johnny Perez in Thibodeaux LA.is now acceping new Medicaid patients but there is a 3 month wait.
