Anyone going to OH conference in Oct?

Anyone going to the OH conference? Or have you been before and what did you think?

Wish I could go, but too far away, too expensive for me to make the trip Maybe next year.

I was considering it because another conference I was planning to go in CA in July has been cancelled, so it opens up some vacation time and funds. But, given I don't think we can find care for our kids I'm not sure about going alone. I'd rather take my husband!

I came alone last year and truly enjoyed myself! Everyone was very friendly and open. We had a blast! Initially, I was afraid of going alone. Once I arrived, I loved not having to ensure that my husband was enjoying himself (not that he can't stand alone). However, when I invite someone somewhere I feel an obligation to provide a reasonable amount of enjoyment. It also freed me up to meet lots of new people sharing my journey. Hope to see you there.

You have no worries if you were to attend alone! There will be so many others there for the same experience, you will "never be alone"... TRUST ME! You will have the best experience! As bad as this sounds, you have (within your everyday life) no one to rely on, but YOURSELF... so DO SOMETHING FOR YOU!!! The moment you walk into the conference, you are surrounded by people who "get it"... not like anyone else. I will be there, it would be great to meet ya!

30 minutes, then you have to come. I went last year and it was amazing! I would love to meet you and share a wonderful weekend of inspiration. Fingers Crossed.

I went last year & had a lot of fun, plus I got to meet Dr. Now (600lb life) & he's just as nice as can be. I also got to meet some people that I chat with on here & met in real life & consider them friends. Last year it was close to Disneyland so I got to go over there too since OH was giving out discounted tickets.

I'll probably go again this year. Gotta save up for it first. I'm wondering who the guest speakers are gonna be this year. I missed it when Chef Graham was there the year before.

If you're thinking about how it looks like OH takes plenty of pictures, so some of the old ones from the previous years might still be on the site.

I'd recommend going if you can swing it money wise. The hotel looks pretty nice & it looks like there's a few things you can do outside of the conference.

Hoping to meet you at this year's conference. I went last year and truly enjoyed it! I am already thinking of my costume for the contest.
