Dehydration ain't no joke

Indeed! Still no reason for her to have been dehydrated on the pre-op liquid diet, because it's not like she had a "new" sleeve then. Unless I'm totally misreading the timelines here.

I agree. There is no need for anyone to be dehydrated especially more than a year after her first sleeve.

I know this is confusing- I was unable to hold down much of anything since around 3 weeks ago and had a lot of vomiting this last week which lead to the dehydration- it was an emergency type proceedure there wasn't a pre op diet- he just told me only clear liquids through the weekend ?

I was just commenting with my post about how bad I felt from being dehydrated from my sleeve complications. I had to have a revision of sorts yesterday due to a twist in my sleeve that caused my stomach to dialate and make this sort of side pouch thing. It's complicated but he reconstructed it and all is good o sincerely hope? Original sleeve surgery was 1 yr ago.

you gotta take this seriously. They fill you with fluid during surgery for good reason. I had low potassium before surgery and had to take a bunch of extra pills. Be prepared to work hard at sipping water after surgery. GL diane S
