I've been Sleeved!!!
Hi guys!!! I haven't been on in a few weeks. I lost a total of 11 pounds on my liquid diet!!! I had my surgery on Tuesday the 9th. I'm home and feeling good so far. The gas is gon but still sore. I just want to take a really hot bath. Waiting on that more than anything.
Surgery went well. I had no complications but from the pain meds afterwards. The Dilauid was so strong it causes me severe vomiting. I did get discharged on Wednesday, but the sublingual Zofran left me nausea and vomiting. I ended up in the E.R Thursday morning. I was dehydrated but able to get liquids in and am super fine.
I am grateful that I was one of the Premier Protein giveaway winners.
I'm looking forward to this journey and finally eating an egg!!!!!
Thanks so much!!! Feels great being on this side!!! I've been doing both. I haven't had the full feeling yet and trying to get my liquids in.
Oh, you're not going to get the "full feeling" for months, maybe longer. You just had all the nerves cut in your stomach. That's why measuring is critically important from now on; you can't rely on the old feelings of fullness to know when to stop eating. Some people say they get that sensation back after a year, some sooner, some never. If you do, it probably won't feel like it used to anyway. During the first few months, you'll experience head hunger, and feel something you think is hunger that is most probably excess stomach acid.
It's a whole new world. Get used to measuring and tracking being part of your life now! Good luck!
Oh thank you for this! I've been wondering on this subject. Good think I'm measuring everything!
