Attended 4 Hour post-op class
I am scheduled for my VSG on Tuesday 5/23/17. Still excited and nervous at the same time. My surgeon requires all patients to attend a mandatory 4 hour class 2 weeks prior to your surgery just to make sure you fully understand the scope of what you are about to do. The class is taught by the Program Director (RN), Registered Dietician and a Kinesiologist. I attended the class this past Tuesday and learned a lot of new information. I am a nurse by trade so I kind of knew what to expect but it is different being on the patient side of things. I have to say that this forum has educated me plenty and helped to "relax" me just little. I know I am making the right decision for myself and my family.
