When did your Weight Loss Slow?

18 Months.

Now that I am under 200 pounds it is just a drawl.

Also in my opinion RNY people stop losing soon than VSG patients. Their weight comes off really fast so they lose more weight early on, so since they lose the bulk of their weight faster, time wise they slow down/stop a lot faster too.

I disagree on RNY vs VSG for at least some. My stats are in my signature. The amount per month seems to mostly depend on your weight and caloric intake. I looked in MFP at the point where I was losing 4-5 pounds, which would have been around 10/1/2016 (6 months post WLS). I weighed 123 and was eating about 900 calories on average. That was around the time when where I started to somewhat intentionally add calories to stop losing. I added slowly mostly paying attention to what my body wanted (with dense protein always first) and ultimately stopped losing in late December (9 months post WLS) at around 1300 calories on average.

mine slowed down to 4 or 5 lbs a month after about 5 months. dr recommended I increase protein and I did so. It did work. But I also think I just naturally got more active with the extra pounds gone. Anyway, it sped up and I blasted right past my goal and had to eat peanut butter to keep from losing too much. Wish I could still eat it now but I will give it up to maintain. Diane S.
