I'm headed to surgery this morning.
First off, hello everyone my name is Joe. I just joined. I actually found this site last night while I was sitting in the bathroom "enjoying" my pre-op bowl cleansing magnesium citrate.
I leave for the hospital in about 10 minutes for surgery and I'm excited. I weighed myself this morning at 275; down 20 lbs from when I started the pre-op liquid diet! My target is to lose another 75lbs of fat and put some muscle mass back on. I used to lift weights extensively in my younger days and miss the muscular look.
Anyway, wish me luck!
Best wishes to you this morning. Depending on when the surgery began, you may already be done. How exciting. Keep us posted!!
Surgery was done by 9. Too****il 2 for a room to open up so I sat in recovery that whole time. It went well. I have very little pain and I'm not taking the morphine very often. So far so good!
My mouth is incredibly dry and the only thing they will give me is some incredibly disgusting lemon glycerin swabs. I can't even just rinse with water without swallowing.
They also don't want me to try walking today which seems strange. My wife had the same procedure 3 years ago, at a different hospital in another state, and she had to be up walking the same day.
