Tummy gurgles??
I am 4 days post op and my tummy is noisy today!!
I haven't had any issues with getting my liquids in. I had a premier protein, protein20, 1 cup of tomato soup, a bottle of propel and now an 8oz glass of smooth move tea. I am allowed full liquids, but haven't tried yogurt or pudding yet because it's so thick and that's scary.
What causes this gurgling? How can I make it stop?

The gurgling is stomach acid, and I still have it now and then at almost 6 months out. I have been on Prilosec OTC daily since surgery, required by my plan for the first 6 months. I see my surgeon for my 6-month checkup in 2 weeks, so don't know if he'll have me continue or not.
I got the gurgling even WITH the daily Prilosec. Dr. Alvarez of Endobariatric.com puts it this way: "Think of it this way...your sleeve has made your stomach smaller which creates a tighter space for food and liquid to pass through, which causes the gurgling sound. It's like pouring liquid into a funnel, the smaller the funnel, the slower the liquid goes down. Now mix food into the equation. The antacids help reduce the restriction, help eliminate the noises and help balance out the acids in your stomach which tend to make the gurgling sounds."
The gurgling is totally normal and you can't make it stop :)

I'm 1 week out and nowhere close to getting all my protein in. How are you getting yours in?? Did you only have one bottle of water for the day? I'm drinking like 4 Propel bottles, the 18.9 oz, each day, which leaves me no room for much of anything. When I have had tomato soup, I seriously can eat like 3-4 teaspoons. That's it. My weight today at one week post op....I have lost 22 lbs in 7 days. And I feel like **** I am so weak and know I need more protein. Please tell me how you are getting yours!

I'm just over two years out and my stomach still makes all sorts of crazy noises to this day. You can't stop it. Just make friends with it and learn to laugh it off.
