2 month post-op
Hi Guys! Wanted to check in! I am This week I am 2 month post-op And I have lost 37lbs post-op and 52lbs all together. Feeling good, feeling great!
Question should I still feel discomfort when eating? Like the food gets stuck in my chest. Also have frequest gas! Sigh. Aside from that I am feeling fine!
It seems like you might be eating too fast, or eating too much. Try slowing down when you eat.
As for the gas - what, exactly, are you eating? Give us an example of a day or two of meals.

I start with a protein shake and greel yogurt in the morning. Protein shake at noon, yogurt and fruits in the afternoon. Gym and spinach salad. And protein shake before bed. That's my daily routine!!
Trying to build muscle mass. No saggy skin..
If you're going to have sagging skin, it will happen regardless of what you do.
I'm surprised that your meal plan has no dense protein in it. I would replace the fruit, yogurt, and spinach salad with dense protein like chicken or steak. That might help with the gas problems as well.

What kind of gas are you getting? Burps? Fart? Pain?
If youre feeling chest pain from eating, and getting gas, it kind of sounds like youre eating too fast and too big of bites. I say that with some level of confidence, because I do those two things. I will get gas pain in my transverse colon, and then once it moves along the farties.
I still have to remind myself to slow down and take smaller bites :\

FightBack77 I'm two months out this week too. I've lost 33 lbs post-op. I'm having the same problems as you. I know the food getting stuck is from eating too fast and too big of bites. It's one way to get yourself to stop eating!!! Haven't found a fix for the gas yet. I've switched up foods and nothing seems to help. I have Gas-X strips in my purse, in my gym bag and in my desk at work. Hoping my stomach comes around because it also sounds like a volcano erupting. Even had our director stop a meeting to ask me if I needed to get something to eat because it was so loud! If you figure it out, let me know.
