I hear you on the clothes. I've had a number of amazing dresses during weight loss that I've gotten to wear ONCE. ARGH. I recently passed them on to a friend and hope that she'll enjoy them at least once as well, but it's a drag.

And ah, Outlander. I've only read the first book and didn't care for it because I thought it was too rape-y, but, I knew my mom would enjoy it so I am an evil, horrible person and gave her the first one for Christmas a few years back. On the one hand - yay! Because it took her something like 6-8 months to read the series and that was an awesome gift! On the other hand - boo! Since there's a reason I don't read unfinished series :P Now she has to WAIT. Lolz, mom.

Do you struggle to pass on clothes you shrunk out of? I'm a Lularoe consultant and I have SO many dresses/shirts/skirts that I will want to pass on but I don't want anyone to think I'm saying "Hey! You're bigger than me, maybe you want these!". The problems of always having been the fat friend.

As far as Outlander, I was sort of harassed into it. I also HATE reading unfinished series and I always feel compelled to read them all in order so I don't forget anything. But, that's a huge time investment for this series and there are other books to be read. My husband is actually reading them, and he's the harasser. He read the whole Game of Throne series and all of the Lord of the Rings series and I bought him Outlander for Christmas. I held strong on both of the the other series, because they aren't really my thing. I gave in for this one.

I TOTALLY have that problem. I actually passed them off to one of my best friends and messaged her and this is literally what I sent, "I am 100% horrible at figuring out what size people are. And I worry that asking a friend this could be interpreted as offensive and omg that's my absolute worst fear. But I have a few dresses that I think you might like. Sizing is weird and useless - I'm guessing they're in the 14-18 range? Like Modcloth XL maybe? Should I set them aside for you to check out?"

Because I worried it would come across as "hey, you're fatter than I am, want my clothes?!" And, seriously, I totally suck at judging what size other people are. Especially if I try to do it in comparison to me because my mental image of my size is completely different than my actual size.

But she was awesome and is apparently having some financial challenges right now and was THRILLED to get new clothes to try on. So it worked out well! And I've had friends pass on clothes they've shrunk out of and never felt strange so... maybe it's all good.

I figure I'll read GoT once it's finished, since it is my genre, but... yeah. I'm happy my mom loves Outlander :P

I had a conversation with my husband the other night where I said: "Well I don't get why friend bought a 2XL shirt, I mean I'm wearing the same style and I'm in an XL." To which he gave me bug eyes and said "Um, because you're smaller than her."

I no-wayed him for several minutes over it.

Good morning, everyone! I know that feeling, Erin! I have a few really cute size 20's and 22's left in the closet and I don't want to part with them, but I definitely more don't want to go back to that size. :) Thrift store and clearance aisle shopping at Kohl's and Penney's sound good to me!

Yesterday was so busy that I just posted on yesterdays post this morning.

Gwen, my heart is with you this week.

Stacy, I don't know if anyone else in your family has been through the LOVELY surgery that is plating and screwing of bones in legs. Your mother may have quite a road of learning to walk in front of her. I hope your sister can understand this. Your mom will need all your support in harmony.

Yesterday was no stop from top to bottom. Work was crazy. Then straight to the gym. Come home, feed the kids, then half my dinner, then off to yoga. Yoga was wonderful because I was the only person at first, so I was able to get some more direct instruction. And had some wonderful poses. It was one of the most relaxing and wonderful sessions I have ever had.

I feel you, Gwen. My dad is still fighting, but after watching someone I love go through cancer treatment, my understanding for people who choose to end or not pursue treatment has increased 10 fold. It's brutal. My dad had his last chemo infusion yesterday and was told he has a DVT for his efforts. Insult to injury. Next is healing then onto proton laser radiation therapy. I am taking a breather in my naive headspace that maybe that will be easier than the chemo. Watching a parent suffer is terrible.

Oh and you were right about the weight loss pattern yesterday. The scale was down 1.6 today. I need to relax!

B - egg, smoked salmon, avocado

L - turkey meatballs and marinara

D - meatloaf

S - protein shake and yogurt
