Increased restriction?
This is by no means a complaint, but I'm about 3.5 months from surgery and noticed in the past couple of days I'm not able to eat as much. It seems my volume has been reduced by about 1/4. I eat pretty much the same few foods day in and day out (I'm a vegan and not as much choice to meet protein needs) so it's not the food. Also, I'm getting a little heartburn at night and have added a pm dose of Prilosec. Anyone else have similar experiences?
I'm 11 weeks out and I have big sleeve and little sleeve days. Sometimes I just feel like the measured portion is way too much. Others I probably could have eaten more. No acid issues here though. My NUT said it's totally normal to feel that and that non-sleevers do too, it's just more drastic for us with 80% less stomach.

I posted something really similar about 3 months post-op. I had extremely increased restriction and my throat had started to feel "clenchy." It started right before my 3 month follow up, so I asked my surgeon.
He put me on an anti-spasmodic for 7-10 days (I forget which) and to go back to liquids for 3 days, purees for 3, soft foods for 3, and then back to my normal Forever Diet.
Never had a problem since then.

I think a lot of us have that issue at about 2.5 - 3.5 months out. I did. I went back to soft foods for a few days and that really, really helped. Eating actually became sort of stressful around that time due to the increased restriction, so dialing it back a notch and "regressing" to softs really helped me deal with the physical feeling and that in turn helped me feel much more relaxed about eating. I think this increased restriction feeling happens at this time because most people start adding more variety to their diets at this point and the new sleeve is still swollen and is adjusting to food being reintroduced.
