Update on my "gas" pain

Yes, my procedure was open. Because of the complexity of the DS, my surgeon would only do that specific procedure open so she could be as hands on as possible, and anesthesia time was 30 min less on average because she could work herself faster than the lap tools. It really wasn't a big deal for me. I had glue all the way down without itchy sutures, and the wound was healed in 2 weeks. While she was in there, she also removed my gallbladder and appendix as a precaution (to quickly eliminate for any instances of acute abdominal pain).

Thanks for the follow up - been sending many thoughts and prayers for you.

Sorry you have to start the liquid diet over again - but, better to be on the safe side.
