I survived!
Had my surgery last Wednesday. It went well. The stay in the hospital was a bit rough. Those gas pains are brutal. Pain meds helped, but it doesn't completely eliminate them either. The nurses were amazing. I don't think I could do their job. Takes a special person.
I got discharged on Friday. I was so happy to get out of there. Didn't really sleep either. The ride home was okay. Hour and half away from home, the nurse timed my last pain med to be when I left so that helped.
When I got home, I showered and slept got up for a couple hours and slept through the night. It was glorious to sleep again lol
Each day is getting better and better. Gas pains are still present, but are much better. I'm not taking my pain meds around the clock, so that's an improvement.
Fluids are getting slightly easier, but still a challenge! Haven't made it to six cups of fluids yet. Getting closer, who knows today might be that day.
Anyways, glad to be home, and feeling better each day.

Glad to hear you're home and on the mend! Keep getting up and walking...it will help with the gas. You're now on your way to a new lifestyle. Congratulations!
