I know Dr. Alvarez does resleeves. I'm not sure they do much to help people lose more weight (long-term), but maybe others who have first hand knowledge and will chime in.

First step is to find out if you need it. Only your surgeon can tell you that. If your sleeve is large or mis-shapen, they may want to give you a revision. Step one is GI series of x-rays, then your doctor will evaluate and let you know his or her findings. I had a revision in January, and it helped....I've lost weight and gained back some of my restriction.
Original VSG 3/23/2012 - Revision/Resleeve 1/6/2017
I had my original surgery in 2012 and went down to my ideal weight as well. I noticed over time that I could eat more and more. Soon, I was eating almost the same volume of food as a "normal" person. Naturally, the weight started creeping back on. I went to my surgeon, got the tests, and he recommended revision surgery. Some people thought I was crazy, since I had only gained 15-20 lbs, but I knew where it was going and thankfully, my surgeon did too. I spent over a year and a half trying to get the weight off on my own with diet and exercise and it just couldn't lose more than a pound or two, and it always came back.
I urge you to go see your surgeon now before the 30lbs turn into 60. You are doing the right thing to act on this sooner rather than later. Your surgeon will be able to tell you if your sleeve in enlarged or if it isn't. Either way, he or she can recommend the best course of action to get you back on track as well. Best of luck, keep us posted. :)

I was considering revision. I went back to the bariatric diet of strict lean protein and low carbs. Dr. Alvarez asked me to get an EGD and Barium Swallow study. I was losing weight well, almost 20 lbs, by the time the testing was completed and I sent the results to Dr. A. Once the EGD was done, I could see well from the pictures that my stomach was in good shape, and looked beautiful. And after losing 20 lbs, knew it was working well. Dr. A said I could get a mini-bypass if I wanted, but what he had done is still good. Dr. A uses a 32f bougie. I believe when he did mine, he was doing the stapling tighter than he does now. I'm not certain. But his site now says he does it loose.
Did you try to kick start the diet again??
