Screwy day here. Lots of ice and debris, school initially announced they'd be opening at 10:30 but just revised that to 5pm, thank goodness. (My class today is at 11:50.) I'll spend the day studying for the exams I've got on Wednesday and Thursday and maybe start work on the essay due Friday. Yay week before Spring Break!

Nice little break to get a little extra breath and studying done. I bet it feels good to have an extra day after that marathon.

Staying with friends in GA, so things might be a little whacky this week. They don't have a concept of what I eat at all or that "just the meat portion" means when you mix the meat with rice and sauce it's pretty impossible to separate! I came armed with protein bars (and she purchased some shakes for me), so I'll do what I have to do!

Happy Tuesday all :)

Snow two days in a row here in Chicago. We have had a snowless year, so this is a little annoying... unexpected. It's like we forgot what snow was here.

I had a great appointment with my therapist yesterday. She has encouraged me to see a nutritionist which I was hesitant about but my first appointment went really well. I'm trying to find balance. I flop between my version of healthy (meat & veg - no carbs) which is extremely underfeeding myself and the other extreme -- unhealthy food choices. I'm trying to find a balance where I can feed myself well and still feel healthy. Its hard, but the work is worth it.

plan for today:

b - fit frappe & coffee

l - chicken, pasta, broccoli

s - yogurt parfait & protein shake (will add something in if hungry)

d - tacos

s - cottage cheese & berries (and maybe a little treat)

e - lifting at lunch & crossfit after work

Happy Tuesday, everyone! Well, the family that was going to adopt my foster pup, Joy, backed out, so I am back to the "drawing board" of finding a forever family or special person for her. We have a meet and greet with a newly retired couple tonight, so paws crossed that they fall in love with Joy. :)

B: Premier Chocolate Shake

S: Kraft reduced fat string cheese

L: Lean Cuisine Steak tips with portabello mushrooms and broccoli

D: low carb crab cake and 1/2 cup cottage cheese peach medley

I know, right? Your sentiments worked magic, Rachel! Joy is going home to her forever family tonight after I get off of work at 4pm. She is only going to live 1.5 miles from me and I've been told I can come see her whenever I want. I am taking that as incentive that I need to walk over to do that very often!
