Big NSV
Today I got results from my yearly physical with my primary care and my A1c is 5.5% and I'm taking 8.6 units per day (down from 6.1% and 60 units of insulin per day in November). My cholesterol is total 175 and LDL is 118, Triglycerides are 80. I think the last time my primary drew this I was around 220 total and 155 LDL. HDL is still a little low at 37. I'm not any meds for that.
I'm a Type I diabetic (21 years), so I will never be off insulin but since surgery and eating high protein and low carb it's been so EASY. Today showed that he proof is in the (low-fat, sugar-free) pudding!
