How easy old routines are to continue

I wasn't a grazer, but I do like to snack/eat in the car. At this point I either eat a snack of one oz each, cheese, meat, nuts. But sometimes I get a drive thru coffee. I get an 8 oz coffee now, but honestly, I don't enjoy coffee like I once did and it often gives me reflux, yet I keep doing it. Crazy. Right?

I am trying to put $3.50 (3.50 x 16 per month ) into my ashtray (my mini copper  has an ashtray and a lighter!) And after a few months get a new purse with the money.

That sounds like an amazing idea! A new purse is always exciting.

I love the new purse as a reward idea. Carrying a nice purse makes me happy (They don't have to be expensive) just something nice. I got a new leather one for my birthday not long ago, and I love it.

I love this idea!  Well, I love ANY idea that gets me a new handbag :)

My bad habit was that the MINUTE I'd walk in to my house from wherever I'd been, I'd head straight to the kitchen and eat something.  Maybe I'll modify your $3.50 in the ashtray plan and put $4 (what I'd spend on a coffee) in a jar every time I DON'T walk in the house and put something in my mouth.  I'll have a new Frye bag in no time!

Snacking when I WFH used to be constant. Since I WFH 3-5 times a week this was a habit I HAD to break. Sipping water or coffee all day (except 30 minutes after eating), plus planning my mealtimes /snacks every 2 hours during the day works best for me.  I have breakfast at 8, snack at 10, lunch at 12, snack at 2, then I am done work at 3.  I don't always adhere completely to this schedule on non-workdays, but it definitely got rid of my mindless snacking when I was working.
