In addition to Grim's comment, you've GOT to get your nighttime eating addressed before having another surgery.

I have dealt with the acid/pressure issue. That is a long term thing that will not resolve just with diet. I would not worry too much about losing too much weight. 50 pounds is a good amount and will provide plenty of time for healing, and from there you will be able to adjust your eating to get to the weight that you want. I also have some trouble swallowing, but the doc never mentioned anything about "fixing" that. I have had a second surgery where a large hiatel hernia was repaired, and like you I was fatigued from so many surgeries. The recovery will be just a distant memory soon enough and if it fixes the acid issues and other issues that will be lasting. Good luck in your decision.

since I've gotten my diet back on track, my acid reflux has decreased.  And I haven't even decreased my coffee intake.  Just the change in diet did it.

And you have your tool.  Use it.  A revision is not likely to make a difference.  I just had a reevaluation by my surgeon for revision, and there was no need after I restarted my bariatric diet and got back on plan.  He said if I wanted more restriction to go to mini RNY or DS.  I feel that is more extreme than I believe I need to go.

Sorry to hear that man. I think in this case you should talk to a few revision surgeons. You need 2nd and 3rd opinions here. The RNY is the surgery that is typically recommended when acid reflux is severe.

Can I ask why you had plastics before you go to your goal weight? It seems like if you were going to lose another 50 lbs that you will have to have plastics again?
