Hi Gwen:

I lost my Mom when I was 28 and my Dad when I was 41 years old. In the beginning, the memories were agonizing. It hurt. Now, the pain is less and I cherish any and all memories. One exception to the rule....holidays, birthdays, and family events. I feel like an orphan at times. My two girls have helped me cope and have eased my heartache over the years. They never knew my Mom but remember my Dad very well.

The one thing that helped me was that I talked to my Mom a lot when I was younger. It was just comforting. I do the same with my Dad now.

I hope you find whatever works to ease your heart. Your Dad wouldn't want you to be hurting.
