Losing Hope that I will have surgery in Dec
I am getting so bummed. From my 1st appointment in Sept my Doctor kept telling me I would be able to have surgery in Dec. Even at my last appointment on Nov 29th he told me it wouldn't be a problem. The month is half way over and I still don't have a date. I know it will still happen, but was really hoping it would be this year before deductible started over Jan 1st.
On a good note I am down 25Lbs since starting this journey.
Please say a prayer that insurance comes through ASAP and I get a call in the next day or two.
Thanks!!
Be the squeaky wheel - get on the phone with them right now and set up an appt!! (You didn't say why there's a hold up, tho - my insurance approval came in less than 2 days once all the requirements were met).
Good luck!

Call your insurance company and work the system. My doc was booked 6 weeks ahead, so even after the approval, I still had to wait 6 weeks. Worried for you, esp with the holidays. A lot of people like to get the surgery around the holidays to minimize time off of work... and the medical staff likes to take off, too!

Good luck! I was going through the same horror. I just kept pressing and telling the staff that I would not get it if I couldn't have it by the end of the year. Some how, it came through. I feel so blessed. I'll say a prayer for you.

From what I've seen here, insurance companies average about 2 weeks or 10 business days to get their decision. So give it another few days, even if it's difficult to be patient. :)
