Whatcha eating today? Wednesday, 11/23/2016
Yesterday, while I was out running, I started having HORRIBLE uterine cramps. Way worse than any cramps I normally get with my period and I've got a very high pain tolerance. I tried to walk it off, but ended up having to call my partner to come pick me up. (I run in the development where we live, and he was working from home thank goodness.) I did a lot of research (googling) and found this article. I ran it by my Anatomy prof last night, and she confirmed that this was completely plausible. Clearly I need to make sure I hydrate more before going out for runs in the morning! Ugh, horrible horrible pain. :/
Hopefully today will be better. I'm going out to see Allied and then I'll spend the rest of the day getting ready for Thanksgiving. Bread baking and casserole prep and trying to neaten the house a little.
1: protein shake (half almond milk, half regular milk since I ran out of almond milk)
2: leftover frittata unless someone else has claimed it!
3: we usually eat out the night before Thanksgiving and I believe Chipotle has been chosen. I'll get a chicken bowl.
liquid and vites: on track
exercise: hopefully some yoga
How about you?

AM: coffee (50g 5 sparrows stevia sweetened white mocha, 50mL Torani SF Peppermint syrup, 122mL 1% milk) & 24g unflavored unjury
S: 78g Sausage and a Medium egg
L: 3 packs Organic Crisp Apples
D: Peanut Butter Creme Protein Bar
Water & Vits
Go to bed early. Having HORRIBLE insomnia (only 3.5 hours last night).
Yikes! Hydrating is key. Happy cooking!
B shake
L TBD - ordering lunch for my boss' birthday. I hope it's somewhere tolerable for me. If not, ill order a grilled chicken salad from the amazing deli near my job.
D Going out with my friends tonight to The Barn (restaurant bar), they have this amazing antipasto salad, big enough for 3 meals for me. I wont drink though. Saving my calories. Plus I need to sleep at a decent hour, working 10-12 hours a day lately is tiring.
Trying to stay away from snacks, but I have my cheese sticks handy!
Exercise doesn't exist, still. Water on track
Too cold today so decided to be a hermit and do my work from home also i have the pre-period bloating and feel overall yucky and hungry :(
B: egg, turkey bacon, feta cheese
S: sliced kiwi and grapes
L: homemade chicken caesar(ish) salad - grilled chicken, spring mix, cherry tomatoes, shredded cheddar cheese, low cal. caesar dressing
S: pure protein bar
D: since it is a cold day I will either have leftover chilli or roasted chicken with hot lentil soup
S: SF pudding
Morning - Premier protein drink and latte
Afternoon - something with brisket. I have to pick up the Thanksgiving brisket, and will probably grab somethng brisket-y or rib-y from the restaurant. Edited to add: Beef ribs and collard greens. It was delicious.
Evening - oatmeal and bacon, I think. Edited to add - since I stuffed myself at lunch, it's gonna be a yogurt for dinner tonight, if anything.
Vites and exercise - done. And we're being released from work a few hours early, so the dogs and I will get a nice walk in. I have beagles. Their noses never leave the ground from the time we walk out the door until we get home again. So I get cardio, resistance training, and do a little jogging when I "walk" them.
Morning: Chibani Peach Greek yogurt, pure protein bar, coffee
Lunch: 2 cups salad with tomatoes, carrots, pumpkin seeds, cucumber and 1 tbsp poppy seed dressing (takes me about an hour to eat it!)
Dinner: 1/4 cup taco meat w/ black beans and a tbsp cheddar cheese
Snacks: 20 almonds (spread out over the day), homemade zucchini chips, dehydrated pineapple
Note: it's been a very long time since I've been on this site. I've lost over 75 pounds and feel FANTASTIC. Had a multi-month long stall, beginning when I reintroduced alcohol to my diet (!!), but started logging my food intake again on MFP, and have lost 10 pounds since August. I'm still in the overweight BMI range: need to lose 9 more pounds to be "normal". Looking forward to this very much!! :)
*Edited to add: Deleted my first message cuz I couldn't get the ticker to work. Finally fixed it!!

Hi All,
Interesting about the dehydration. My daughter had some serious cramps after working all day recently in a new job. I'm going to suggest she drink more water next workday.
I'm cooking for thanksgiving tomorrow, as I bet many of you are.
I saw the first down-turn on the scale this morning, after 3 days of reduced calorie eating. I'm delighted. The Spanish immersion class I had hoped to join in Seville was already full, so I'm looking for another. Do any of you have experience with Spanish immersion classes in Spain or south of the border? I really need a change of pace, and I think this will do it.
Breakfast - salmon
lunch - crack slaw - I just made this today for the alternative to turkey leftovers on Friday.
Dinner - chicken with pesto sauce and sweet potato casserole
Have a wonderful holiday, everyone.
Carol

It's worth noting that the hydration issue I might be experiencing is specifically a uterine cramping issue, not just regular muscle cramping!
Yay for seeing the scale go down! I know nothing about immersion classes aside from "wow, sounds awesome." :)
