Whatcha eating today? Friday, 10/21/2016
I always loved this post pre-op because it made post-op seem less intimidating. I wish more people participated like they do on the RNY forum.
It's Friday, finally. I ended up ignoring my alarm and sleeping through Friday fitness classes - I listened to my body AND my therapist and I think that was the right call. It's been a challenging week. I have almost zero plans for the weekend aside from school work and I'm super happy about that!
1: protein shake
2: chicken curry (love this stuff, I made a huge vat in the instant pot on Sunday and it's awesome)
3: instant pot beef and mushroom stew, mashed potatoes for the guys
liquid and vites: on track
exercise: none!
How about you?
(Writing this post reminds me that I need to get tomorrow night's chicken marinating tonight.)

B - protein bar, coffee with SUGARFREE PUMPKIN SPICE creamer... I am so happy about finding this!!!! ????
l- tilapia, salad
d - grilled pork rib, fried cabbage
s - unsalted sunflower seeds, protein pudding
exercise - nope, my dad fell yesterday and I hurt my leg / knee trying to get him up
vits - on schedule
running errands, picking up school fundraisers today
LOL - you silly people with your pumpkin spice
That's weird.. I had typed a longer response and it got eaten....... (I see the problem. I had included a "less than three" heart after the pumpkin spice comment. Apparently this is interpreted as html, so it screws the rest of the text.)
Anyway, I'm sorry to hear about your dad's fall. Falls are no joke! I hope he's okay. When my dad had falling issues I googled and watched some great video tutorials about safe ways to help people up. Some seemed silly, but also really useful to prevent injuring yourself in the process of helping someone else!
I hope your leg/knee feels better soon - Rest, Ice, Compress, and Elevate. :)

Hey I've missed out on the pumpkin spice craze forever... Now I don't have to lol it's more of a nutmeg flavor to me and I'm kind of worried it's still so sweet tasting it may trigger RH. So I'm only going to have a little a day :)
knees better , I soaked it in epson salt. And I hopefully can keep it elevated the rest of the day :)
My cardiologist yesterday told me that I should work on getting more salt in my diet and add in a sports drink a day. Since I was out, I got the only zero-cal sports drink I could find at Wawa which was a grape Propel. OMG, it was so disgustingly sweet. YUCK. I diluted it with water and that helped a lot.
My normal drink of choice is crystal light lemonade, but I mix it at half strength. I just can't deal with sweet stuff anymore.

AK, Walmart sells that pumpkin spice creamer, the SF one! (Forgive me, Gwen!)
I follow a ketogenic diet post-op. I also have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder. Feel free to ask me about either!
