It's been way too long

Wow, what a yr. I'm gonna sum it up. Weight gain 5 lbs, recent hospitalization just got out 3 wks ago, way off track on nutrition, just started exercise again.
Family problems including very sick husband, loss of my job due to my illness.
Need support. Help me get back on track. Thank you
First, slow down! Sounds like you are running on emotional fumes!
You know what to do... protein, nice meaty dense protein first... stay full by eating the right things, and grin and bear it through about 7 days of carb detox. After that, you'll do great!
Hope things get better for you!

You've made the first step.....in my mind, sometimes it's the hardest! You're here and although 5 pounds doesn't sound like a great amount of weight gained to many "outsiders," it certainly is enough that it has you upset.
Sorry about your husband and loss of your job - hopefully both will be resolved as quickly as possible.
My advice (for whatever it's worth) is to take baby steps.....one day at a time. Go back to basics, get your protein and water, log what you consume, go for a walk or whatever exercise helps clear your head, even if it's just for a few minutes. Come back here every day, post or lurk, it doesn't matter. I think simply seeing that you aren't alone in your journey is part of the support that will help get you back on track.
Either way, best of luck on your refreshed journey....we've got your back and are here for you when you need help.
Good friends are like stars.
You don't always see them but you always know they're there.

If your food is way off track, I'd suggest going back to dense protein, nothing else, for a week. For guidelines, you can check out the Five Day Meat Test website:
