10 days to go now.  Down 32 from the seminar, 17 from my doc consult.  Personal goal of 6 more, will be happy with anything loss in excess of that.

Been on stage 1 pre-diet for a while.  Beginning stage 2 in 3 days (lean meat and green for dinner, shakes otherwise).  Clear liquids in 8 days.

Exercise is at about 50% of where I want it.  I need to change want to reality there.

Everything arranged with work and for my immediate post-surgical transport and care.

Have an appointment with my sleep doctor and PCP this week.  Pre-surgical appointment also scheduled.

Most loose ends I need to tie up are tied up, just gotta get my 'necessities' ready for the hospital trip (comfortable clothes and chapstick, I'm sure there is other stuff like device chargers, etc).

Feeling good.  I've run the gamut of emotions on this, sometime cripplingly so.  I've moved on to quiet and determined resolve.

Thanks to everyone that has provided information and support along the way thus far, it has been invaluable.

Oh, since there isn't a general rants and raves board -- I have something to complain about that doesn't quite have a home but irritated me to know end yesterday, several times.  When driving, in a situation where it is important to recognize who has right of way to ensure the smooth flow of traffic (4-way stop for example) -- not assuming (or yielding) your right of way can be just as disruptive as assuming right of way when you don't have it.  I know you are trying to be nice, but sheesh, you are backing everything up.  Just go.

Yup! I would like to add to that: When I'm out walking my dog and I wave your car on, it means I don't want to cross in front of your car. JUST GO! Geez. Some cars refuse to go and I end up turning my back on them and pretending I'm not going to cross.

Congrats on your pre-surgery goals!

I walk behind the car when they won't go.

It sounds like you're on the right track. Don't sweat the exercise. Loss is all about food.

Get through the rest of your preop check list. Don't fret about what you bring to the hospital. Most people bring way too much. Wear comfortable clothes, and wear them home. Phone and charger. Bada bing.

Good luck.
