Whatcha eating today? Monday, 10/10/2016
It's Monday again. I walked up a big hill on Saturday and my shins have been yelling at me since. This is suboptimal as I've got a race on Saturday!
I'm seeing my PCP today to get a prescription for a DXA scan. I've read a number of research papers recently saying that WLS people are at risk for bone density issues even with calcium supplementation, so it seems wise to get a DXA and a baseline now. I'll also be asking about my persistent orthostatic hypertension since I'm 2.5 years post-op and still dealing with it.
1: protein shake
2: um... crap. I haven't thought about lunch at all and I just realized that I'll be out of the house until 3pm or so. I'll either wait until I get home and have some meaty spaghetti sauce, or I'll have a protein bar while out.
3: flat iron steak, asparagus
liquid and vites: on track
exercise: rest day

Hi, Gwen. My doctor's been after me for a DEXA scan too, partly because of the weight loss, partly because of previous prednisone use, partly because of my age (65). I'll call him today for a scan order and have it done soon. Thanks for the reminder!

- TBD: Going to Red Robin or Chipotle w/my grandson. Probably a Caesar salad w/chicken and dressing on the side.

It is Monday but my co-worker is back so everything has returned to normal...yay! I am so wore out from my daughters softball tournament all weekend.

I had a terrible eating this weekend and the scale showed it. But back on track today.
B egg whites ham and cheese omelet and string cheese

L 2 cups salad with 2 tablespoons olive garden dressing, smoked turkey deli meat 2 slices
D. 2 ounces ground beef with brown gravy, 1/4 cup green beans, 1 ounce mashed potatoes
S. 15 parmesan cheese whisps( These are great and have replaced my chip cravings)
W 60 ounces
V taken( I remembered to take my vitamins and I bought a pill planner. I am so horrible about taking vitamins. I need to get better at it.)
E need to walk but I'm too tired.
