Whatcha eating today? Thursday, 10/6/2016
Today is my first cat dissection day in Anatomy. I've never dissected anything, so I'm a bit concerned about how I'll cope. I also have no idea how this will impact my eating.
1: protein shake
2: eggs, potato
3: white chicken chili
liquid and vites: on track
exercise: rest day (should have been a running day, but I needed more sleep and don't have time to run as a result)
How about you?

Today is my Friday and I'm so happy! I'm cooking brownies with my student this afternoon and I know I'll have one. Had we made them from a mix I probably could have resisted, but since it is a math activity we're cooking from scratch and I know I will eat one. So, other than that, I'm going to make good choices!

Yeah.. I got out of dissection in high school but for this? I've just got to do it. Technically attendance isn't required for lab, but if I don't show up I'm bailing on my lab group which isn't fair to them. Not to mention we'll be tested on this stuff so... yeah.
But now it's Friday and, you know what? I DID IT! All of the anxiety was worse than the actual dissection. (I was grateful to still have post-op Zofran left since I managed to nauseate myself watching cat dissection videos prior to class because I made the mistake of taking an antibiotic on an empty stomach prior... oops.) It was actually totally fascinating and I think I learned quite a bit by getting to see the muscles at that level.
So yay!! :D I'm actually pretty proud of myself!
