Whatcha eating today? Thursday, 9/29/2016
It's wet. I ran. I'm wet.
Meals on Tu/Th are always weird for me since I never know if my brain will demand sustenance while I'm at school in the evening or not. Sometimes I'm fine to wait to eat dinner when I get home, sometimes I need to eat before that.
1: protein shake
2: lunch is always the challenging meal since I'm so often not home! My options are: protein bar, tuna pouch, pulled pork hash. It'll depend on where I am, etc. Since I'm pretty sure I'll be out, it's looking like protein bar or tuna pouch.
3: pulled pork hash most likely, protein bar if necessary.
liquid and vites: on track
exercise: w4d1 of Zombies Run 5k training, 30 minutes post-run yoga stretching
How about you?

Thanks! This is not my first cruise, but it's my first cruise post-op. I'm not very worried about overdoing things on the ship. I'll be surrounded by friends who all know about my surgery and will be watching what I eat. They won't say anything, but they'll be watching, and that by itself is a huge deterrent for me. And I'm very grateful to them for that. It's one of the reasons that I advise newbies to tell everyone about their surgery. By doing that, you surround yourself with watchdogs, who (no matter what their motives) will help you keep away from junk food.
I will say, though, that if I come across a delicious morsel that I can't get anywhere else, I'll go ahead and have a little. This is a vacation, after all! But I expect my weight will remain stable or drop a pound or two. I'll keep a written food log, weigh myself when I get back and give everyone a full report (goodor bad ).

It is sunny and beautiful here. It's still hot 90 degrees but we had a front that pushed the humidity out and that makes all the difference in the world!

We went on a 4 night cruise in January and I did fine - ate whatever i REALLY wanted, not eating for the sake of eating. The key is eating in control. That being said, sometimes it's hard to stay in control, lol. Enjoy your vacation
