Any newer patients tried a sleeve reset?
The only "reset" type thing is simply following the plan minus carbs. Eat only dense protein and a little green leafy veggies. No drinking 30 min after eating, or drinking calories. No white carbs, no processed foods. Certainly no junk food. Clean any trigger foods/junk foods out of your home.

Hi, not sure if you're talking about the 5 day pouch plan. If you are, I know it works for lap band patients, and I'm a newbie with the sleeve since I just recently got a revision after many years with the band. From what I read, it is supposed to work with all WLS, including sleeve & bypass. I did it a few times with my lapband years ago, and it did work for me back then.

It's utter nonsense. A foolish fad.
Follow the plan happyteacher outlined above.
There is set, or unset. There is no reset.

It's not for lap band patients, because it's because we tend to get an over dilated pouch and it helps rest it... etc. Probably not for the sleeve since it doesn't stretch due to having the fundus removed.
I was just wondering if that is what "reset" the original poster was posting about as I have never heard of it regarding a sleeve hehe.
Thanks.

Personally instead of making yourself crazy with 5 days of liquids I'd follow the above post about solid proteins and cut out the crap foods. Don't worry as much about how much your eating but what you are eating. I know when I had my lapland after several years I'd gone back to many of my previous bad habits. You might of had several pop up yourself.
Hit the grocery store and pick up several types of meats. Treat yourself with a few types you don't normally get and then just eat that for a week. Cut sugars, filler foods like potatoes, sides, and snacks that aren't meat. Stick to your meats and drink plenty of water in between meals. You'll may feel a bit wonky because of sugar withdrawal, that might last 2-3 days but you'll come out the other side with less sugar cravings and hopefully you'll see that by eating proteins only you can eat much less, stay full longer, and be all "re-set".

I was just very curious as to what happened with Dr. Garcia during your surgery. He did mine on July 25, 2016 and I was so incredibly impressed with him and his entire staff. This is the first negative thing I've heard about him. Can you please enlighten, as I have a family member considering using him.
