ONE-derland!
I finally made it to One-derland this week. I haven't weighed less than 200 lbs in over 10 years. I am also officially half-way to my goal. Couldn't be happier with my decision or my progress so far.
I was initially partly motivated to have surgery because my husband is in need of a kidney transplant and I would not be able to be considered for donating unless I lost 60 lbs. I have been now been told by one center they won't consider me no matter what but we found out this week that the other center where he is listed will re-consider me when I am 8 months post-op so that was more good news. Also, several friends/acquintences have offered to be tested.

Congratulations!!! Getting below 200 was a big deal for me too, being over 10 yrs as well.
And I have to say, my younger brother needs a kidney as well and I was under the impression that we couldn't donate a kidney post op due to our high protein diet and our own health considerations post surgery.
