Finally got my date
After almost 5 months from my decision to take this step I finally have a date. It was supposed to be a couple weeks ago but had to get cardiology clearance first that dragged a little. My VSG is scheduled for 9/26/16 and I am super pumped.
At 6'4" and 427lbs I decided to start my pre-op diet today instead of 9/12/16. Mostly I wanted to challenge myself this weekend since there will be pool time, beer, bbq's, etc. The Bariatric Advantage shakes taste pretty good to me. Not the most filling thing in the world but at least they taste good. My surgeon allows for one cup of low-carb veggies everyday pre-op so at least I get something to chew on.
I look forward to sharing my journey with the group. Feel free to chime in with any tips, advice, simple mistakes that were made I can avoid, etc. No need to reinvent the wheel so all help is greatly appreciated.
Have a great weekend everybody!
Jeremy

VSG Surgery May 30, 2017
Hey! Congrats! I am scheduled for surgery on 9/27, right behind ya. Just find healthy sleeve friendly snacks you like now and a good shake or 2 so you don't get bored/tired of the ones you are drinking now. I haven't had surgery yet, but I figure doing all the test run snacking/eating now beforehand will make it that much easier when it's time to eat sleeve friendly foods.
I'm sure you'll do great! Good Luck and welcome! Lots of support on this site!

Congrats! I'm scheduled 9/7 for my surgery date and I started my pre op liquid diet a little early too. I wanted to really try and test myself to see if I could do it and so far so good.
