Please post your favorite high protein meals!
I am a teacher, and during the weight loss phase it was during the school year. I just kept it simple and fairly repetitive. I would make sure I had protein at every snack and meal. I would eat a lot of:
cheese sticks (skim)
protein shakes
tuna on spinach
soups- broth with proteins
protein snacks (Kays naturals protein cookies, pretzels, etc.)
leftovers from dinner
tons of greek yogurt
eggs in every form (poached and hard boiled mostly)
rotissiere chicken, straing, on salads, in wraps... lived on this for a while

Eggs for breakfast 2 - 3 nothing else
4 oz of great deli meat. Not the pre packaged full of water. I understand it is processed meat but it looks like a cut of meat in the wrapper. I get it cut thick weight out 4 oz cut into small bites and call it lunch. Often I will have 1 oz vintage white cheddar cheese.
Dw makes meatloaf from ground turkey breast meat add onion, bell pepper salt and pepper to taste. Ketchup on top for the veggie.
Highly seasoned chili meat with a bean or 2 thrown in for the veggie.
My favorite is coffee caramel Greek fit and lite yogurt with a house blend of nuts & seeds . I am on hold with that for a while cause the carb count is too high and I had some regain. If you eat it occasionally it is not off plan. I was eating it every meal.

tonight I had Chile and lime flavored fat free refried beans, I pouched two eggs and put them on top with a tablespoon of fat free greek yogurt. It was actually wonderful. You can pouch an egg in a coffee cup with about a 1/4 a cup of water, microwave for 30 seconds, drain water, that is it. The eggs have 7 grams of protein a piece, the yogurt is about 8, and the half can of refried beans about 20 grams, so the small coffee cup had 44 grams of protein and about maybe 250 to 300 calaries, and about 17 carbs, It was so yummy I can't wait to have it again!
Gosh, that is a lot to put down at one meal! I have a big sleeve and don't think I could do it even 4.5 years out-
Sounds good though- never thought to pair yogurt with the refried beans. Will be trying that for sure!

I thought the same thing -- NO way I could eat all that -- even at 2.5 years out. Maybe men can eat more? It DOES sound good though.

And the macros are way off. A half cup of refried beans doesn't have any where near 20 grams of protein. It would have to be a lot more volume, and a lot more calories.

I can definitely eat that and I'm just 14 months out. Anything like beans just stacks up fast. I pretty much measure everything because of this now...it's too easy for me to overeat. Having BED means I must be vigilant; it's too easy to eat past discomfort.
I suspect the extra sits in the esophagus since I know for a fact my sleeve is just around 3.5-4ounces by volume only. A mature sleeve won't hold that much on its own, I'm pretty sure. Hmm, now I know what to ask my surgeon in a few months. I'm curious if my theory is correct.
I follow a ketogenic diet post-op. I also have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder. Feel free to ask me about either!
