Do you still get hungry after the surgery?

Everyone is different for sure. I still feel hunger and have felt hunger since Day 1 post-op - I was one of those unlucky people who didn't find it a chore to eat at all ;) But hey, I'm ok with that!

From Day 1, I was eating about 1/4 cup of food per serving - or about 3 ounces. Was I satisfied? Yes indeed!

You don't feel "fullness" for a bit after surgery (about 2 months for me) so you can't really go by the full feeling. You just have to stick to your plan and track/weigh/measure religiously.

I am 5 yrs out and still don't have actual hunger like before.   Sometimes acid can mimic hunger.

I am five weeks post op and I have actually felt hungry twice so far. I felt my stomach rumble the other day and it wasn't because I was dehydrated because I drink a ton now, but believe me, you will get full fast right after surgery.

Yes, I still get hungry - almost every day.  For example, this morning I had to take my daughter to an ortho apt at 8am.  Usually by 8 I would have finished my protein shake and a piece of string cheese.  I ran an errand after at the post office and as I left the post office I was thinking...I'm hugry!  And then I fnished my protein shake and I was fine.  I also get hungry in the afternoons.  I tend to eat more in the mornings and by the end of the day I'm hungry.  protein fills me up.

2 ounces really does fill me up though.  I don't find being "full" satisfying anymore though...its slightly uncomfortable and annoying.

And I don't get hungry like I used to. I used to get "starving" and light headed and overeat.  Now its just a little grumbly feeling.

I still get hungry. I wanted to be one of the lucky ones who didn't get hungry.  I weigh all my food and when I am done with the food I am done. I may still be hungry but I won't eat more than my measured amount.
