Protein Shakes
I start my liquid diet August 9th but have been experimenting with different shakes so that I'm not wasteful and frustrated when I start. I love the Atkins Caramel Café. I also love the vanilla flavored but I add different things to it, such as orange Crystal Light caffeine free, etc...Its like having a different flavored milkshake every time. My doc gave me a bunch of recipes for shakes for the pre-op diet. If you'd like a copy, email me at [email protected] and I'll send you what I have.
Definitely try different shakes! Try watering it down, try a different liquid to mix it (I like unsweetened almond milk), try different flavors and different brands.

I like the chocolate and vanilla Premier Protein shakes that are pre-mixed. They are going on sale soon. If you can have fruit, I make a protein shake every day that's 2 scoops vanilla whey protein (Cyrosport), 1 cup frozen mixed berries, I cup sugar free vanilla almond breeze, and 1 cup baby spinach/kale. I mix it in the blender. I'm 3 years out so I can handle a little more.
