Needing some Answers PLS
A dear friend of mine was sleeved this past Wednesday and now she is not feeling well at all. Since day of surgery she has been vomiting non stop. She can't hold down a sip of water or an ice chip. Her vomit is a brownish color and she is now day 3 today. Has anyone else experienced this? Was it a serious problem or normal that will go away as time passes? I'm worried at this point. Any feedback, comments, anything will be appreciated.
She is actually still in the hospital. Me and her had the same surgeon and he requires 2 nights in the hospital after this type of surgery. He seen her and said that this will pass and it will get better. However, on my 3rd day I was already able to drink little medicine cap full of protein shake. I really hope she gets to feeling better and is able to hold down some water soon. I am just worried.

She may want to ask the surgeon what the discharge requirements are. If they won't let her leave until she can drink on her own, then they can hopefully address any issues preventing her from reaching that point.

It doesn't sound normal, but everyone does experience different things. The brownish color vomit would concern me since it has been going on for three days. At least she is still in the hospital which is the best place she can be. I hope things clear up and she feels better quick.
