15 days 'til surgery- Pre-op diet started yesterday Woo Hoo! I've got this!
I started my pre-op diet yesterday. I've done pretty good so far, its just ALOT of food to consume in one day. (It's not a liquid diet- 1000 calories, 125 carbs, . Trying to just map it out and get it all in. I have my pre-op visit with my surgeon on Thursday and then we'll be off and running to the final countdown. I would sooooo love to get under my first goal before surgery. Hopefully I can drop this last 7 lbs before surgery with the pre-op diet. FINGERS CROSSED!!!

I am jealous! I had two week liquid pre-op and it was hard as hell! I couldn't help but trip up!
I had a few cheat meals on my diet and I still lost 13 lbs in the two weeks before and my surgery actually went quicker than normal according to my surgeon so don't worry too much. I stressted too much on the pre-op diet and everything ended up ok. Good luck!
I have to say, i was sooooo happy that the pre-op diet had "real food" in it. I would have griped the whole time about constant liquid for 2 weeks, but i actually am having issues fitting all of the required food into one day. It's ALOT of food (mostly veggies, but still alot). I dont eat that much in one day, so eating every hour is the only way and drinking in between. Lol!! So glad your surgery went well and I can't wait for mine!! :)
I'm glad to hear more surgeons are getting away from the all liquid diet. I think their goal is to have you lose a few lbs and people are more likely to be compliant with something that contains real food. I lost 15 lbs on my own pre-op and then had to do 5 days of liquids. That didn't add much to my weight loss.
